Tips for Going Green

 1. If you spend more than four hours a day on the computer typing away or clicking your mouse, take a few minutes out each hour to exercise your fingers. Make circles in the air with your fingers. Move your arms up and down like a penguin.  It will make you smile and stretch your muscles.

2. Use your child's notecards as book markers or make a notepad for you to use in your car to track your ideas or your "to be done" list.  There are two sides to every card!

3.  A great reminder to take time for you in going green in your own life is motivator.com.  Download this unique software and give yourself an inspiring green message each minute of your day.  A great way to remind yourself of you.

4.  Send a hand-written note instead of a computerized letter to a friend.

5.  When brushing your teeth at lunchtime in the office bathroom, turn the water off while brushing your teeth.  Use a cup to swish.  Saves water useage.

6.  Have trouble getting organized?  Organize your files on your computer as you would organize a filing cabinet to help save time during the day.  It will help you save time in the future when you need to look for a file.  Make your system easy, not difficult for you to find your folders.
